Get ready, iConverge is just around the corner! Every year, iDegrees students have the opportunity to gather at iConverge for three days of networking, learning, and the most fun you’ve had since undergrad.  This  event brings together students, alumni, faculty, and business leaders for a weekend filled with networking, learning, and memorable experiences. iGBA is back again this year to present two exclusive events to kick off the  biggest weekend in September!

1 | Trolley Mixer @iConverge

Thursday September 11 | 8:30pm - 12:30am

All aboard the iGBA trolley for an exciting evening of networking in Champaign!  Join your classmates and alumni for our signature Trolley Mixer*, an evening of lively connections as we tour local hotspots around town. Tickets for this experience are $65, and space is limited, so early reservations are encouraged.

2 | The After Party @iConverge

Friday September 12 | 10:00pm - 2:00am

This Summer, iGBA hosted our first Take Me Out with iGBA Cubs event at the legendary Wrigley Field, welcoming everyone to enjoy a classic Chicago summer activity, not to mention walking away with a W. Midwest Healthcare Management Conference

The registration deadline for the Midwest Healthcare Conference 2025 is this Friday, August 1. This in-person event will take place Friday, August 22, on campus, at the iHotel and Conference Center (1900 S 1st St, Champaign, IL 61820). This year’s conference will explore how to improve healthcare access across all settings—from primary and preventive care to emergency and inpatient services. MBA Veterans Career Conference & Expo

Registration is now open for the 18th annual MBA Veterans Career Conference hosted by MBA Veterans. The Career Conference & Expo will be held in Atlanta, Georgia from October 9 - 10. A virtual career fair will be held on October 17. The career conference includes networking lunches, career panels, and opportunities to meet recruiters and connect with other veteran MBA students. Registration for the virtual career fair is free. This conference is open to those who have served as an officer, NCO, or enlisted member of the US or Non-US military service. We are currently open for applications from students eager to contribute their skills and passions across various areas such as technology, program development, marketing, events,  and more. Join a committee to help shape the iGBA experience, create meaningful impact, and connect with fellow students through collaborative projects and initiatives.

Winter Takeover

The Winter Takeover committee is responsible for planning activities, registration pricing and marketing for the iGBA’s annual student-run standalone event, Winter Takeover.

North America Regional Chapter Leadership

The North America Regional Chapter Leadership committee gathers leaders from iDegrees geographical groups around North America to brainstorm how the iGBA can best support regional events and help drive engagement on a regional level.

International Chapter Leadership

The International Chapter Leadership committee is responsible for coordinating and driving iGBA engagement and activities with members located outside of North America.  

Tech & MarComm  

The Tech & MarComm Committee leverages technology and communication expertise to enhance the iGBA experience by managing the website, social media content, and crafting engaging communications about events, initiatives, and resources.

iDegrees Student Recognition

The iDegrees Student Recognition committee develops, maintains, and oversees programs to recognize members of the currently enrolled online graduate business student body including the criteria, nomination process, selection, and awards.

iGBA Membership

The iGBA Membership Committee promotes membership in the iGBA, especially in recruiting for the higher tiers of membership levels. This committee also evaluates the membership level benefits and advises changes to stay meaningful and relevant to the student body.  

Professional Development

The goal of the iGBA Professional Development Committee is to provide current students necessary resources and guidance on career development including career path analysis, resume workshops, interview guidelines, mock interview sessions, coaching through soft skills, etc.  

Women in Business

The Women in Business committee is focused on empowering women in the iDegrees program to achieve their personal and professional goals through education, development, networking, service, and leadership. The committee strives to create opportunities to make meaningful connections with people and organizations which help further professional development.

Access & Community

This committee includes LGBTQIA+ Ally Affairs, BIPOC Affairs, Students with Visible and Invisible Disabilities, Military and Veteran Student Affairs, and more. We help gauge program commitment to and raise awareness of issues, gather feedback on equitable representation of principles in all facets of iDegrees, provide recommendations for continuous improvements.

iMBA Program Development

The iMBA Program Development committee will engage with currently enrolled online iMBA students to help build a strategic vision for the program. Focusing on program enhancement, the committee will explore course and specialization recommendations based on current and future trends with an overall expectation of showcasing the program as a leader in the industry.

iMSA Program Development  

The iMSA Program Development committee will collaborate with fellow enrolled iMSA students to help develop the program and create a pathway for future students interested in becoming an iDegrees student. We will provide feedback on course pairings and explore degree recommendations with iDegrees administration. Our mission is to improve iMSA student engagement in all aspects of the iDegrees program.

iMSM Program Development

The iMSM Program Development committee will oversee the program offerings to leverage new opportunities to make strategic and informed decisions in the competitive higher education market. The committee will focus on elements like differentiators, graduate outcomes, and student needs when planning new offerings while making recommendations to the iDegrees administration.

Alumni Program  Development

The Alumni Committee will strengthen connections between iDegrees students and Gies alumni through mentorship, networking, and engagement opportunities that support career growth and community building. The committee will support career advancement opportunities throughout the Illini global network - Because every student deserves a network that lasts beyond graduation.
